Long Range Transportation Planning (LRTP)
Every five years the Wausau MPO creates a Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The Plan identifies the current conditions in the area and identifies and recommends solutions to the issues regarding the deficiencies of the roadways in the metro area. The LRTP provides the foundation for decision-making by establishing the vision and goals for transportation planning within the Wausau metro area by evaluating the system as a whole and identifying strategies for implementation.
