PLANNING WAUSAU’S FUTURE

The Marathon County Planning Commission, also known as the Wausau Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is the federally designated regional transportation planning group for the Wausau Metro Area. The MPO is tasked with studying transportation issues, distribution of federal transportation funds, and helping communities work across their village, city, and town boundaries.

The Metropolitan Planning Organization is staffed by the Marathon County Conservation, Planning and Zoning Department and located in Wausau, WI.
