PLANNING WAUSAU’S FUTURE

The Marathon County Planning Commission, also referred to as the Wausau Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is the official federally designated transportation planning body for the Wausau Metro Area. The Wausau MPO is responsible for overseeing transportation planning, analyzing transportation issues, managing the allocation of federal transportation funds, and facilitating coordination between villages, cities, and towns to address transportation needs.

The Wausau MPO is staffed by the Marathon County Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Department and is located in Wausau, WI.
